Pg.21 “Odin” Part 3

Posted by: admin   in 2. The Journey

Four days went by, I didn’t touch the book the entire time. The morning of the fifth day Professor Kildre called me to ask if I could meet everyone at her office around eleven that morning. The team had arrived!

I gathered the book and headed to the office where I meet the four members of the team. Two women from Egypt, An elderly man from Washington state and a younger man from England. They were all so excited to see the book, they were chattering and bouncing around like kids at christmas. I basically sat and waited as they rushed back and forth, whispering to each other. We took a dinner break but that was about it. At about two in the morning they all convened. Finally now as a collective “One” they came to me. We must take it to New York, the ink, paper and so forth had to be verified. It could take years to have an accurate report. Years, I didn’t have Years! However I agreed we could take the trip to new York, I needed some kind of information fast.

The travel plans were immediate, we would leave in two days. I gave them two weeks, I stood firm, I couldn’t give them more. I told Emily I was headed to a restaurant convention, she had the house and kids under control. It all happened fast, before I knew it we were in New York and a hundred people were working non stop on the book discovery. I just sat, refusing to ever let it leave my sight. Information came faster than I thought as more people flew in to examine the book. After eight days I had answers.

The book was authentic, they couldn’t exactly place the time but they were estimating it over 3 thousand years old. The ink was what appeared to be blood and some type of berry or fruit. The paper as I’ll call it along with the cover was animal skin. They needed more time…However the first paragraph, loosely translated for me to understand, began like this..

I am Odinn, I am Zues, I am Wodan, I am Dag Dia, I am Othinn. I was Borr , I was Ymir, I was Lug, I was Cronus. I shall be all names, I am Eochaid Ollathair…. I shall walk among the living and the dead. I shall float along the river Sildr and dance upon grounds of Alfhelm. This is my gift to my only true daughter Dreya.

That was all I needed for now. They wanted me to donate it to their studies, at least let them translate the entire thing, document it all, make it legal. I refused, for now. I did let them advise me to take an insure policy out and photograph all the pages. They already had scraping and samples. With that information after twelve days in New York, I headed home to share my story with Emily.
