We made the trip back and forth several times over the next month. Soon we would all head back for good, and take the children and Mora too. We planned to leave the first of November. Emily made the trip to New Orleans and brought Mora back for the trip. She could hardly believe Dreya had been found!

While Emily was in New Orleans, Nicky came to me concerned. We were leaving everything behind..taking a family trip and letting those we left behind think us dead. It was a hard choice, but as I said for Em, I was her only family, and for me, the family I was leaving behind meant nothing. I know it sounds cruel, but was not a feeling I choose. However, that isn’t why the main reason Nicky came to me, he was having second thoughts. The leaving of his family was not that hard for him, he had no parents or siblings left. His concern was from a feeling of horror he sometimes sensed at Oakhaven.
