When I arrived in front of the cape cod Nicky, Emily and the children shared I had to remember to adjust my appearance to that of Cass for the children. It was late evening and I could hear the children running and screaming with laughter as I opened the door. Izz nearly knocked me down as she came sliding around the corner in giggles. Nicky was chasing them around with a blanket over his head.

“Hi Mommy” Izz squealed as Nicky caught her. Nicky looked at me and I smiled “It’s time to leave” I said. We all made our way to the living room where Emily and Mora were watching tv. “We leave in the morning” I announced upon entering.

“Welcome back” Emily said dragging herself from her show. “Did you look into the talk we had?” Nicky asked “Yep, all straight now, as a matter of fact alot has happened, I dont have the energy to explain it all right now, you’ll see when we get there” I answered.

“So you kiddos ready for a trip?” I said “Where to?” Neil asked sounding less than enthusiastic. “Fairyland” Izz said…then they began to argue as Neil informed her in his big boy voice that there is no such thing as fairyland. What she said next shocked me

“Yes, there is Neil, the pretty fairy came and told me, isn’t there Mommy?” she screamed at her brother

“What fairy lady, Izzy” I asked as I pulled her onto my lap on the sofa

“The one with the flowers in her hair, she played hide and seek with me in the garden, when she was running, flowers were growing around her, she told me we would go to fairyland and I could play with fairies all day” she said innocently

I couldn’t believe it, my Mother, but how, she had died. I wasn’t sure how, and no one else had seen it but I knew that somehow Mother had visited Izz and I was glad for it.
